Choose the right starting point

Use Add a company in the sidebar. Notorio separates an existing business from a new formation request; adding a record is not a state filing.

An existing company

  1. Choose the existing-company option.
  2. Enter the company name, entity type, jurisdiction and available company details.
  3. Save the company, then complete its Company profile with legal identity, addresses, management and fiscal-year information.

Use information from your actual company records. Recording a company does not purchase registered-agent service, obtain an EIN or change its legal registration.

A company you want to form

Choose the new-business option to open the formation intake. The initial company is a Draft, and you can return to the saved form. Review the full request and payment before submitting. See Starting a formation request.

Working with more than one company

The sidebar switcher separates Mine from Shared with me. Check the selected company before uploading a document, sending signatures or entering equity. Switching companies keeps the current section when you have access; otherwise Notorio returns you to Overview.

Plans and paid services belong to the selected company. The exception is the Free e-signature allowance, which is shared across the account. Draft companies can be deleted; do not assume an active company can be removed through the draft-delete option.
